Jonathan Parker lives and works in Santa Fe NM.

Parker's work has been shown in exhibitions at galleries throughout the United States including at Jack Fischer Gallery in San Francisco and Robischon in Denver; the New Mexico Museum of Art; Greg Kucera Gallery, Seattle; Mary Ryan Gallery, New York; Gray Contemporary, Houston; John Davis Gallery, Hudson, NY; Jan Baum Gallery, de Soto Gallery, Los Angeles; Ylise Kessler Gallery, Santa Fe; LewAllen Contemporary, Santa Fe; San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, San Jose, CA; and the Oakland Museum of California, Oakland, CA.

Painting residencies include Yaddo, Djerassi Resident Artists Program, Atlantic Center for the Arts, Blue Mountain Center, and Headlands Center for the Arts Affiliate Artist Program. He is the recipient of a Fleishhacker Foundation San Francisco Bay Regional Painting
Fellowship.

Parker's work is in private and corporate collections, including the David & Lucile Packard Foundation and the Kaiser Foundation and the Oakland Museum.

My own intention is at the heart of each piece I make, but ultimately each painting speaks its own language. When I make art, I have something to say, however, when I stand before a finished work, it has something to say to me. And if the painting works, it speaks not in my voice but in a universal language. -- JP
